Reaching Out: Connecting Older People
The Big Lottery Fund Reaching Out: Connecting Older People (RO:COP) Development and Support Programme has been delivered by NICVA to all RO:COP grant holders since October 2011.
The £20 million Big Lottery programme funds projects to enable older people at risk of exclusion or isolation to lead fuller, connected lives as valued members of their community. It focuses on older people who could be perceived as ‘hard to reach’.
NICVA provides training and support to grant holders to develop the skills of their volunteers, committee members and staff on a bespoke basis.
Typically we provide training for the participating organisations on the following topics:
- governance
- leadership and management
- engaging with the hard to reach
- tender commissioning
